Catching Up

I do apologize to our faithful few who are wondering perhaps why I haven't posted more of our adventures from the summer...well, in Southern California due to "June gloom" our summer really doesn't even officially start until mid to late July and practically lasts until October. Thus, I am finally coming out of my grumpy "I can't believe we don't have sunshine yet" stupor and feel motivated to share once again. You can now breathe a sigh of relief...

These pictures today are just a random array of what's been happening in the Rosenthal household as of late. Our precious boy continues to amaze and amuse us on a daily basis and I am still in awe that God allows me to witness it as his mother. What a true blessing from above!

Father's Day 2011 (*notice the June gloom? I wasn't lying, people.)

One of our favorite things is to go walk by the beach with Tate and stroll up and down the pier. Not sure we'll always live so close to the ocean so trying to take advantage of it!

Another one of our favorite things to do in the summer is go sailing but we're only missing one key element....a boat. Never fear, however, because Tate created his own sea worthy vessel and was shocked to find that Harvey had the same idea.

My greatest joy recently has been having lunch with my son now that he can actually feed himself...we literally sit side by side like two adults. I do most of the talking, though. In this shot, he's giving my toast a thumbs up.
